Giving Birth to my World

Hello, my name is Briana Carter, welcome to my first post. This week in Room 13, I've made a piece named 'Giving Birth to my World'. My piece was a 3D painting. There were only a few steps to complete this painting, first outline with pencil, second paint in the outline, and lastly spray paint the cotton balls and paste them onto the canvas.
I really enjoyed creating this painting, it went really well for me. I would say the number one thing that went well for me was creating each color I used out of the three primary colors. Also, drawing out the outline with pencil went surprisingly well. Altogether, I had a lot of fun creating this piece.
One part that was a struggle was mixing my paints to get the right shades of brown. It took me two days to finally get the correct shades of brown that I needed. Also, I struggled with outlining the continents on her belly, I eventually gave in and printed the continents out and traced them.
This week I class, considering it was the first week, I came right into class and completed the task I assigned myself for the day. I stayed focused on my piece. My phone and others rarely distracted. This project challenged me enough to learn how to mix paints to get certain colors that I needed.

Welcome back Briana the Barbie's weekly blog, I know it's been a long while since I've posted about one of my beautiful creations but now I am back at it and no more waiting. This week I've started a piece of a garden of flowers. I chose flowers simply because I love flowers and when I'm mad they calm me down. First, I picked out of wooden canvas and used a brand new saw that Room 13 got. The Birth Of Venus Made By Sandro Botticelli The title of this beautiful painting is “The Birth of Venus”. The artist that produced this work goes by the name Sandro Botticelli. The artist was born in Florence, Republic of Florence, also know today as Italy. The artist died in 1510.He has been producing artwork since the 1470s though probably earlier than that because some of his artwork was not dated. Some of his other artwork that is also known are the pieces, “Primavera” and “The Adoration of the Magi”. His artwork represents the Early Renaissance Age. The painting is installed at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. People can still visit Italy and go to the gallery to see the painting. The painting has not been displayed in more than one place that we know of. It is a visual piece of art. Giving Birth to my World (Finished)

Hey it's me, your favorite blogger, Briana Carter. Welcome back to my first FINISHED piece, this week in Room 13 I was able to complete this piece. So, this week my exact plans for this didn't go exactly as planned, instead of spray painting the cotton balls I ended up using black pom poms. I cut the pom poms in half, then hot glued them on my canvas, then I added purple glitter to her hair just to add some "spice". Gluing on the pom poms as her hair went surprising well, I wish she had the 4c hair texture but the pom poms make it look like she got 4c hair blow dried out lol. I also just the overall look of my finished piece and I'm content with it. The only struggle was putting the glitter in her hair. I used black paint over the black pom poms to act as adhesive for the glitter, and I hated it. Then, I got a suggestion from my advisor and she had me brush out the paint over the pom poms, and it came out great. This week in class I just focused on her hair a
